High Atlas Valleys Hike
Explore two traditional Berber valleys on this delightful day hike
Begin your experience with a scenic morning drive from your Marrakech accommodation to Imlil (1,800m), a peaceful Berber village situated at the foot of Jebel Toubkal. Then start your walk up through the apple, cherry and walnut trees of Imlil Valley to Tizi n'Tamatert (2,200m). Upon arrival cast your eyes over the stunning views of Imnan Valley and Jebel Oukaimeden beyond. And while you're there be sure to stop for a refreshing cup of mint tea and a handful of almonds. Afterwards start your walk down through the lush terraced valley, discovering many a traditional Berber village along the way. Have a picnic lunch under the shady trees by the river, then head up to Tizi n’Aguersioual (2,000m). From here walk down to the tiny village of Aguersioual, where your transport will pick you up and return you to your Marrakech accommodation.
